We were in a new restaurant earlier this week and while we were eating the place began to fill with more people. A group came in and sat in a booth diagonally across from us (a middle-aged couple who sat on one side of the booth and an older woman and a young lady who sat on the other side) and I knew, in that instance, there was something very odd about these “people,” especially the young lady. They were not regular humans. They emanated a very strange and disturbing (to me) frequency. I began to feel very uncomfortable and it was a good thing we finished our meal a short time after they sat down. I could not wait to leave.

The frog story — if you put a frog in a boiling pot of water it will try to jump out. If you put a frog in a cold pot of water and slowly heat the water, the frog won’t jump out — or so they say.
Once she becomes overheated it’s too late because her body thermostat doesn’t regulate like it used to when she was younger.
I’m not sure about the frog story but the lady on blood thinners – she should move south, it’s been so hot and humid. Monday will be about 95 degrees. A winter robe and winter pants? I’ll bet she’d like to sit outside here – it started off at 81 degrees early this morning. Winters must be very, very difficult for her! We have had to pull all our blinds and keep all sunlight out and close off rooms. Good luck my friend!
Stranger than strange, Sily!!! The young lady had a nose almost like a gray. The nostrils were there but the nose was barely there.
I’d be cooler if someone stopped letting all of the daytime heat in the house because she doesn’t feel it until it’s too late. It’s like that frog story. Do you know the one I mean? (She’s elderly, is on blood thinners, chills easily and has a winter robe and winter pants on in the mornings.)
Yikes! Stay safe Polly. I was thinking about you 3 days ago – I hope you are staying cool in all this heat and having a good summer. What strange times we live in.
