Dolphin Dying of a Broken Heart?

What an incredible story!  A rare grampus dolphin’s health declines after her caretaker is murdered.  Dolphin experts deny any connection between the caretaker’s death and the refusal of the dolphin to eat.  Hmmm.

I think the dolphin experts need to rethink their perspective.  The dolphin’s caretaker was its surrogate mother since the dolphin’s mother died when it was a baby.

Janet, I agree. The connection between two beings can be very powerful and when one goes the other no longer feels any reason to stay.

  2. I am not suprised indeed I would have expected it. Theirs was a profound bond. The same thing happens in older couples who have been happily married for many years. The one who is left behind simply crosses over to join the beloved. It is very beautiful.
