We will likely have a new comet to see and SOHO should hopefully show it when it comes into view near the sun around January 12th. Southern latitude viewers might be able to see it with the naked eye according to the link included. That counts me out; I’ll have to count on SOHO. Now I am reading that people are able to view it in the evening north as well as west of me. I seem to have misunderstood last month who would be able to view it and when. I’ll have to check if the skies are clear on the horizon at night.
It will be interesting to observe what kind of energy is stirred up with people when it becomes visible. Anyone who is sensitive to cosmic events should be able to pick up some sort of vibe. And I will be looking to see if there is a cause and effect reaction from the sun on the SOHO pictures.
( Note: 1-06-07 There are a lot of Web searches being made on this comet so interest is quickly gaining momentum. Consequently more info and pictures are being added to astronomy websites. )
If you are into non-mainstream thoughts and ideas here is a website which covers outerspace events. Kent saved some amazing SOHO pictures of Comet V1 interacting with the sun.
( Note: 1-08-07 The weather controllers are not being cooperative in that the horizon has been too cloudy for me to see the comet. There are some great pictures on the Space Weather website though. )
