Early Spring Conditions

Oh, I love this weather!  It’s about 45 degrees, the air is very moist and feels warm with a bit of mist falling, it’s cloudy and it rained overnight.  Early shoots are popping out of the ground, the birds are singing up a storm (especially the pine siskins) and the spring peepers out back in the pond and wetlands were very loud last night.

I want to go out back tonight so I can be closer to the peepers but I am a bit of a chicken because that is coyote and bear country.

Wanted For Toy And Bottle Thievery

Otis Begotis, The Boston Terrier

This is Otis Begotis, the Boston Terrier.  He is eight years old and still runs like the wind though he is suffering from a sore leg at this moment because he ran too hard recently.  He does this every spring.  He has a long rap sheet for petty larceny; he steals other people’s and dogs’ toys as well as plastic bottles.  What a cad!

Exorcism

The following text is from my copy of Coast to Coast AM Radio’s daily email newsletter — Coastzone.  It’s absolutely amazing how many Italians seek out excorisms each year compared to Americans.  I still think there are more modern methods of addressing this problem and are preferable to exorcism but this is interesting nonetheless.
Exorcism & Demons:

Journalist Matt Baglio discussed his recent work chronicling an American priest’s training as an exorcist, and how the exorcism ritual is used to combat demonic influence and possession. Baglio himself took a course in exorcism training offered by a Vatican-affiliated university near Rome. Italy currently has 350-400 church-appointed exorcists, he said, and some 500,000 people seek out exorcisms annually in that country. In contrast, the United States has only 14-15 official exorcists sanctioned by the Catholic church.
Baglio characterized demons as fallen angels, incorporeal beings who can manipulate matter– creating such effects as opening and closing doors, making objects move around or disappear, and changing the room temperature. People can open themselves up to demons and become tormented by them, through practicing the occult, hardened sin, curses, and cults, he detailed. The rite of exorcism seeks to draws out the demon.

Interestingly, those who have become possessed through a curse are among the hardest to exorcise, Baglio said. A priest can determine if the possession is the result of a curse by touching a cross to different parts of the afflicted person’s body. When a curse is present, the possessed have been seen to vomit up unusual objects such as braids of hair, beads, 3-inch nails– even a live toad, he reported. In the case of the toad, it began to jump around the room, and when the priest caught it, it was said to dissolve into saliva.

Memory Loss

This is really disturbing to me and it’s happened way too often for my liking.  My buddy does not remember conversations we’ve had in the past on a regular basis.  He’ll say something which relates back to some other conversation we had (which I remember) and when I remind him of what we said then, he denies it ever occurred.

It gives me a creepy feeling and I don’t like it.

Blue Sapphire

Once again, during the gemstone of the week sale, I yearn for this therapeutic gemstone necklace from www.gemisphere.com but I still don’t have the kind of money lying around to justify the cost of one.  The sale ends Friday, March 20th.  Boo Hoo!

It’s a fabulous color and has a fabulous feel to it.

From Gemisphere:

“Our Gem of the Week is Blue Sapphire

Few things have more power over our health and happiness than our minds. They mold our perceptions, spur our actions, color our emotions, and permeate our very cells. What is the state of your mind? Is it the engine of your accomplishment and bliss—or your own internal obstacle course?

Whatever your state of mind, Blue Sapphire will bring greater order, clarity, and healing to all your mental processes. Blue Sapphire is the premier gemstone for awakening, clearing, and mastering the mind. Its energy infuses the fabric of the mind, clearing out mental garbage, teaching mental discrimination, and bringing clarity and perspective to thoughts.

The blue ray carried by Blue Sapphire disintegrates disharmony in the physical head and profoundly benefits all functions centered there, including the eyesight and hearing. Blue Sapphire expands mental potential and enhances the ability to distinguish between one’s mind and one’s higher self.”

Spring Clean-up Commences

Luckily, for me, I don’t think I will have to do as much yard clean-up this spring because I was able to finish my fall clean-up last year before snow and ice season began.  The year before, my fall clean-up was shortened by early ice and snow storms in November and did I ever regret that scenario last spring!

The bluebirds have been courting around the nest box up on the hill in the wildflower field.  I left their last year’s nest of pine needles in the box in the blueberry patch and it deterred the house sparrows from claiming that box during the winter.  I removed the nest yesterday so now I have to be vigilant about keeping the house sparrows out.  Hopefully, the bluebirds will be aggressive and help me with the chore.

Let’s Heal!

A brief statement about me:  My life is about healing.  Healing!  That is my soul purpose and that is what inspires me and that is what I seek most.  Anything or anyone who tries to undermine that does not interest me and has no place in my awareness.

Sleep Irritations

Sleep!  Last night I fell asleep for a while and after about an hour was suddenly jolted out of sleep feeling very irritated.  That happens to me a lot.  I think I am being pestered when it occurs.

I am trying to learn to sleep properly but this is no easy task because it’s been a lifelong issue of mine except for a short period when I was 40 years of age.

I took over-the-counter sleep aids for a long stretch out of desperation (no natural remedy has workerd for me) but I had to stop because of the side-effects I was experiencing.  Since I don’t have to be up early I don’t bother forcing myself to get up anymore and just sleep until whenever.  I feel better if I do this.

All You Need Is Love!

I was not a big Beatle fan but there are a few of their tunes I still enjoy, this being one of them.  It lightens my mood.  (A young Mick Jagger looks rather stoned in this rendition.)

Gerald Celente, Trends Forecaster

This guy does not sugar coat anything he sees coming for the world.  I much prefer being aware than blindsided.  I think Gerald has the tendency to clear cobwebs out of people’s minds because of his clear, down-to-earth way of speaking.
