Licked Toes

This is really bizarre.  In a dream I had the other night a dog started to lick my toes and did not want to stop when I moved my feet away.  Eww!  What in the world does that mean???  The other aspects of the dream made sense to me but this part did not.  I am posting it because it’s rather comical.

I really don’t know what title to give this.

Assassin Bugged

What’s with the Eastern blood sucking cone noses?  There appears to be a lot of them around here and some end up in the house, especially in late summer and fall.  They hang out on the sunny porch and the dog barks at them but then he barks at most insects and has a habit of being stung.  Has someone been dropping them off?

If I find one of these in my bed there is going to be a scene!  I found one on the door frame of the room next to the bedroom last night and promptly flung him or her out the second floor window.  It seems they are attracted to field mice nests and we have plenty of mice around.

Waiting for the Butterfly to Emerge

We had five monarch caterpillars on the butterfly weed.  Yesterday the smallest of the five formed a chrysalis.  It only took a few hours but over 24 hours earlier the caterpillar had positioned itself into a J hook shape while suspended from a short thread attached to the underside of a leaf.  I read it takes about 10 days for the butterfly to emerge.  We have hunted and hunted for the other four caterpillars or chrysalises to no avail.

It is so amazing how a caterpillar transforms itself.

Where is the Fun?

I am posting this under fun.  Fun?  What fun?  I am going to be in the looney bin in the near future.  Maybe that will be more fun than where I am now.  I don’t know whatever made me think I was supposed to be having fun in life.  I must have been daft.  :-D

To Become a Butterfly

I have been enjoying watching the monarch caterpillars eating the leaves of the butterfly weed I planted this year.  They grow so quickly but they should hurry up if they are going to transform into butterflies and head for Mexico for the winter.

My butterfly weed plants are thick with seed pods so I will have lots of seeds to plant next year.

Electric Uranus

One of the planetary aspects I have trouble with involves Uranus opposing or conjuncting another body.  My nervous system may become overstimulated and burn out depending on the aspect, where it is, how powerful it is and what sort of situation has arisen around me.  Trying not to let the energy get the best of me can be exhausting.

Yesterday, a call came over the local police scanner because someone had thrown a stove across the room.  It sounded like a domestic dispute call.  I attributed this to the energy of the Sun/Uranus opposition which had been building, plus the waning moon.

What Happened Last Night?

Something major happened on this planet last night — it was an energetic change and I am going to try to put all of the pieces I have together and write about it.  I am still recuperating from the physical effects and my mind is still really spacey.

I have to save the following from www.spaceweather.com posted today because it could be part of what happened:

NEAR MISS: Yesterday, Sept. 5th around 0100 UT, tiny asteroid 2007 RS1 flew past Earth only 48,000 miles (0.2 lunar distances) away. There was never any danger from this near miss. Even if the 3-meter wide space rock had hit Earth, it would have disintegrated in the atmosphere, causing little to no damage at ground level. It would, however, make a very nice fireball. Maybe next time.

Also:

Brian had a dream dated Dec. 7, 2006 which was posted Dec. 8th on his website.  The dream states verbatim:

[The earths magnetic field will flip in 272 days...says to look right now for signs.  The state of Oregon will see the lights of Aura very soon, also says "where the compass spins, healing can happen"]

Two hundred and seventy-two days from Dec. 7th of last year brings us up to Sept. 5th, 2007, the day asteroid 2007 RS1 flew by the earth only 48,000 miles away.

October Fall

I think my least favorite month of the year is October.  It is the month of Fall.  It is the month when the shortening hours of sunlight and change of seasons is most dramatic and noticable.  People’s health and mood may take a turn for the worse.  There is a death of energy and a pulling in feeling in contrast to the expansiveness of summer.  It’s a creepy, foreboding feeling.

There can be crispy, bright days in this month that must not be overlooked because they are beautiful and exhilirating but overall I think it is a hard month emotionally and physically.  I think the elderly feel it the most.
